Deepa Thomas

Registered Psychologist

Deepa Thomas is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She has her Masters degree in Applied Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Psychology and a pre-doctoral degree in Medical and Social Psychology with emphasis on Psychiatry, Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Forensic Psychology.

About Deepa Thomas


Deepa has worked in private, hospital, research, and educational settings in a few countries and has had the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse ethnicities, age groups and mental health challenges. She brings with her several years of experience and multicultural competency in psychotherapy and uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Biofeedback training approaches combined with eastern wellness practices like mindfulness. Her work experience are in the areas of formal assessments and psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, PTSD in motor vehicle accident victims, adjustment disorder, traumatic brain injury. Deepa provides a client-centered, supportive and non-judgmental environment for her clients to work together towards understanding their innate potential, self-compassion, assuredness and relief.
